I filmed and edited this video on behalf of America SCORES Cleveland to supplement a grant proposal to the Fairmount Mineral Foundation. The Foundation agreed to fund SCORES for another three years, providing 96 youth with health and literacy after-school programming. My video also inspired an individual donation of $5,000.

With its offbeat sense of humor, the justWink greeting card line is very much in line with my sensibilities as a 24-year-old creative who lives in his mother’s basement (after having graduated college, of course). I love justWink’s YouTube campaign, using humor writing to connect the viral video phenomenon with greeting cards.

I was inspired to conceptualize a Congratulations on Your Pregnancy Card in the justWink voice— a voice that does not sugarcoat.

On behalf of America SCORES Cleveland, I wrote this proposal to a donor known for funding organizations for a maximum of three years. My proposal inspired him to fund SCORES for a fourth year, contributing $5,000 in 2011 — his first time supporting a single organization beyond three years.

In June 2011, America SCORES Cleveland hosted their first annual Inspired Art Benefit, a collaboration of Cleveland artists and young Cleveland poets.

I wrote the copy for the program and collaborated with a graphic designer from Great Lakes Publishing Company on the overall art direction.
